Jon and Lisa Long of Hinesville announce the engagement of their daughter, Lindsay Rebecca Long, to James Patrick Edwards Jr., son of Pat and Fay Edwards of Glennville.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Carolyn Long and the late Adrian Long of Hinesville and the late Ralph and Frances Huff of Darien.
She is a 2001 graduate of Bradwell Institute and a graduate of Savannah Technical College with a practical nursing degree. She works as an accounts manager with Herff Jones in Statesboro and as a nurse at Liberty Regional Medical Center.
The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Earl and Dorothy Edwards of Darien and the late Irby Johnson of Darien and Jo Ann Johnson of Glennville.
 He graduated in 1998 from Pinewood Christian Academy and received a bachelor’s of science in middle grades education from Brewton-Parker College and a master’s in education from Troy State University. He is employed by the Tattnall County Board of Education and currently teaches at Reidsville Middle School.  
The couple was engaged Dec. 17. They will be married at 6 p.m. June 20, at the Mackey House in Savannah with a reception following the ceremony at the same location.
All friends and family are invited to attend.
