SAVANNAH — Savannah Technical College has selected Jim Nordone as its vice president for student affairs.
The Atlanta resident brings more than two decades of experience in student services leadership, serving most recently as the executive director for student affairs with the Technical College System of Georgia. His appointment began Wednesday.
“We are delighted to bring Jim Nordone on board,” said STC President Dr. Kathy S. Love. “His enthusiasm, leadership and knowledge will serve our students well.”
Nordone served 10 years in the Connecticut Technical College System, from 1987-1997, and has spent the past 12 years, from 1997-2009, in the Technical College System of Georgia.
He holds a bachelor’s of arts degree in psychology and a master’s of science in guidance and counseling from Western Connecticut State University. He has completed advanced graduate studies in educational foundations/administration and supervision at Southern Connecticut State University.  
Nordone will manage all aspects of admission, financial aid, student records and services at the four Savannah Technical College campuses.
