The Midway City Council has called a special meeting for 9 a.m. Wednesday in city hall.
The main item on the agenda is an executive session, though the agenda does not detail the purpose of the session. In open session, however, there is to be discussions of city assets and liabilities, as well as purchase of equipment for police, wastewater and street departments.
State law allows public bodies to meet in executive session to discuss land acquisition, legal action and personnel, generally.
