The Hinesville branch of Coastal Georgia YMCA is offering middle-school students a daytime activity on the first furlough day of the spring semester.
Weather permitting, sixth- through eighth-graders will head out at 11 a.m. Feb. 16 for a field trip to Jekyll Island, where YMCA staff will host a picnic.
Students may bring their own lunch or participate in a cookout. Children do not need to be members of the YMCA or any of its programs to attend. At least 10 must sign up for the trip be finalized.
