The Small World Festival Committee is accepting vendor applications and entertainment proposals for the May 15 festival in Hinesville.
This year’s festival will feature a world marketplace, international food court and entertainment. After a successful return of the event in 2009 with a crowd of nearly 5,000, the committee is extending the festival to include additional cultural groups and a second entertainment venue. The celebration has also been extended two hours, to run from 11 a.m.-8 p.m.
The world marketplace is a vendor showcase of crafts, artwork and merchandise from various countries. It will feature demonstrations, exhibits and children’s activities. Festival-goers will have the opportunity to try international cuisine at the food court, which will line both sides of the street.
Vendors can submit applications for an early-bird fee of $50 through March 26. From March 27-April 29, the fee for a single booth is $75, and from April 30-May 7, the fee is $100. No applications will be accepted after May 7.
The committee is also accepting entertainment proposals, which will be considered on an as-received basis through March or until all spots are filled. Musicians, dancers, storytellers, demonstrators and others are encouraged to submit proposals.
