Air Force Airman Dominic M. Materne graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.
He is the son of Barbara Materne of Hinesville.

Schubert returns to U.S. after deploying
Army Reserve Capt. Matthias E. Schubert is returning to the U.S. after a deployment to Iraqi or Afghanistan in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom or Enduring Freedom, respectively.
The soldier returns to Fort Dix, N.J., for debriefing, evaluations and out-processing procedures before returning to their regularly assigned units.
Schubert, a command and unit chaplain, is a member of the 607th Military Police Battalion, Grand Prairie, Texas.  He has served in the military for eight years.
He is the son of Leonard and Kate Wilson of Hinesville.
The captain graduated in 1989 from Bradwell Institute and received a bachelor's degree in 1999 from Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga. He earned a master’s degree in 2003 from Temple Baptist Seminary in Chattanooga.

Stoves graduates from basic training

He is the son of Darryl Stoves and Sherry Stoves and brother of Shavon Stoves of Hinesville. Stoves is a 2008 graduate of Liberty County High School.
