YMCA to host March Madness The Liberty County YMCA will host a March Madness basketball tournament at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 27. Teams have until March 22 to register. It’s open to ages 16 and older, and the fee is $150 per team. For more information, call 368-9622. Register for AAU boys’ super regional Registration is being accepted until March 26 for the 2010 AAU Boys’ Super Regional Tournament on April 9-11 in Jacksonville. This is a national qualifier event. The entry fee is $300 and teams are guaranteed three games. Registration is open to ages 10 and older. Registration and fees can be mailed to: Coast 2 Coast Basketball c/o Chris Stacy 977 Yardley Court Jacksonville, FL 32221 Registration is available online at www.aauboysbasketball.org. Georgia Fury needs softball players The South Georgia Fury girls fast pitch travel softball team is looking for players for their 14 and under and 12 and under teams. BI wall of fame submissions Bradwell Institute is building a wall of fame featuring former BI Tiger athletes who played sports on the college level. Tiger coach Jeff Miller and his assistants have a partial list of athletes, but they’d like even more. Names and photos are being gathered. To submit a name or photo the following criteria must be met: The former athlete must have graduated from Bradwell Institute. The student athlete must have gone on to play sports at the college level and must have graduated from college.
