• Smiley Elementary pre-K registration
Smiley Elementary Pre-K registration for the 2010–11 school year is April 12-16. Registration will run from 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. in the conference room at Smiley Elementary. The hours will be extended until 4 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday, April 13-15.
Children must be 4 years old on or before Sept. 1 to be eligible.
The following information is required to complete registration:
• birth certificate
• Georgia immunization record on form 3231
• Georgia eye, ear and dental form 3300
• Social Security card
• proof of residency

• Kindergarten registration and orientation
Students who will attend Long County kindergarten for the 2010-11 school year are invited to attend orientation at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, in the Smiley Elementary cafeteria.
There will be a presentation on the “Love, Read, Learn” program, which is designed to help children succeed in kindergarten. Registration for kindergarten is Monday-Friday March 29-April 2 from 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Hours will be extended to 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 30.
Children must be 5 years old on or before Sept. 1 to be eligible.
