STATESBORO — Georgia Southern University’s golf team will have a meeting at 7 p.m. tonight for students who are interested in walking onto the team for the upcoming season. The meeting is in Hanner Fieldhouse.

Students who want to try out should go to www.georgiasoutherneagles.com, select the golf dropdown menu and click on "2010 walk-on tryouts info." Students can download the registration form, which should be filled out and submitted at tonight’s meeting.

Each attendee must bring a copy of his physical exam (performed within the past six months), health insurance card and class schedule to demonstrate full-time enrollment at the university.

Individuals interested also must meet NCAA eligibility standards, agree to and comply with GSU’s drug test policy and bring a $100 entry fee, which includes three rounds of golf. For more information, call golf assistant coach Carter Collins at 912-852-3771.

The Eagles women’s basketball team also will have fall tryouts at 3:45 p.m. tomorrow in Hanner Fieldhouse, room 1100.
