Hinesville Gators tryouts rescheduled due to weather

The Hinesville Gators' tryouts scheduled for today have been moved to Thursday at James Brown Park. Tryouts are for their 11-and-under and 12-and-under boys' and girls' academy teams and the 13U, 14U and 16U girls and 17U and 19U boys' select teams. The trio touched on the importance of working hard and maintaining good grades in order to play at the college level.

Former Lady Highlander basketball player Aaliyah Wilson got a big surprise when she visited First Presbyterian Christian Academy on Friday morning. The Lady 'Lander basketball standout received a scholarship last year to play basketball at Brewton-Parker College, but her busy schedule didn't give the school administrators an opportunity to honor her with a signing ceremony.
