Tigers to hoop it up at college
Thursday was the last day students had to be in school, so Bradwell Institute basketball coach Pete Woodard made sure two of his players finished something about as important as their final exams. On Wednesday, Woodard gathered Da'zjon Tinae and Jalen Watson, along with their family and friends, to complete their paperwork and sign letters of intent to take their hoop skills to the next level.
Player’s offers now up to 16
Texas and Notre Dame are the latest BCS schools going after Liberty County Panther football player Raekwon McMillan. That takes the number of offers up to 16 for the incoming junior and class of 2014 five start recruit, according to rivals.com.
Barracudas drop a slot
After holding the No. 1 spot for more than a week the Hinesville Barracudas slipped a notch in the nation on the United States Specialty Sports Association's 14U Class AA Power Rating.
Ball moves after player address
Question: Charlie and Jack are on the fourth hole during their Saturday men's association play. Charlie addresses the ball and grounds his club behind the ball. He then decides to step away and use a different club. While walking back to his ball, it moves. Jack tells Charlie that he must incur a one-stroke penalty. Is Jack correct?
Gator boys win state Rec Cup title
Shortly after Hinesville's 10U Gator Girls were crowned the Georgia Rec Cup Champions, the Gator boys' team followed suit by earning the champions' trophy and state title at last weekend's Georgia Rec Cup in Fayetteville.
